Poxel.io
More games to play
Poxel.io is a free multiplayer first-person shooter that runs in the browser with no download needed. The blocky, pixel-art look hides a surprisingly fast game: matches are short, weapons hit hard, and the lobby fills quickly. It works on desktop and mobile, and you can play it wherever browser games are allowed, including school or work.
What is Poxel.io?
Poxel.io is a .io-style FPS built around quick pickup games. Maps use a blocky Minecraft-style look, and the action is fast enough that even a short session feels complete. More than 30 maps keep the scenery from getting stale, and with over 20 weapon types ranging from assault rifles and sniper rifles to rocket launchers, crossbows, and grenades, there is usually a loadout that suits the way you like to play.
Controls and movement
Default controls cover all the basics. The dash move (X or Q) is easy to overlook but useful for getting out of tight spots.
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Move | WASD |
| Jump | Space |
| Dash | X or Q |
| Shoot | Left-click |
| Iron sight / aim | Right-click or E |
| Chat | Enter |
| Pause | P or Esc |
Game modes in Poxel.io
There are four modes. Each changes how kills are counted, so picking the wrong mode for your playstyle can cost you the scoreboard even if you are fragging well.
| Mode | Goal |
|---|---|
| FFA (Free For All) | Most kills wins, every player is an enemy |
| TDM (Team Deathmatch) | Team with the most combined kills wins |
| KC (Kill Confirmed) | Collect dog tags dropped by eliminated players to score |
| Domination | Capture and hold marked points on the map |
Skins, coins, and unlocks
Poxel.io has over 1,500 cosmetic items: character skins, hats, and back items. You earn PX coins and gems by playing matches and completing missions. None of it is pay-to-win; the unlocks are purely cosmetic. Private lobbies let you host your own session and invite friends directly.
Tips for staying alive longer
- In KC mode, prioritize picking up dog tags over chasing new kills. Tags on the ground score for the enemy too if you leave them.
- Use the dash to break out of open ground fast. It has a cooldown, so save it for when you are already taking fire.
- Teammates are labeled in TDM and Domination. Check before you shoot into a doorway.
- Sniper rifles need distance to be worth it. Indoors, a knife or shotgun-type weapon closes fights faster.
- Domination is won on point time, not kills. Parking one player on a captured point is often worth more than extra frags.
